I listened to a radio talk show who highlighted OHIO and talked about turkey hunting and picking mushrooms. As I listened I knew these guys could mold me into a successful outdoors man. I booked a Spring turkey hunt that year and harvested my first ever gobbler. That was 10 years ago, and not only did I harvest a turkey, but Tony and Steve gave me some turkey calls and taught me how to use them. Although I have learned the technique of hunting eastern gobblers I still return each year for the ultimate hunt in Ohio. And I picked a mess of morel mushrooms too. DR. I met Steve and Tony at a Gulyans Sporting Goods Store now named Dick's Sporting Goods in our state capital. They were demonstrating calls from their sponsors. My son, Tripp and I approached with caution due to the fact they looked pretty rugged. After a few minutes with them I was at ease they both were very knowledgeable of products and the outdoors. Tripp and I booked a two day hunt and the rest is history. They taught me more than I could ever imagine and that was 12 years ago and since then I have gone on my own and harvested over 40 gobblers all over the United States. Tony and Steve were guests at our outdoor shoot for SafeLite Glass in Charleston, WV. They were doing a seminar on gun safety and deer calling. I found it to be very interesting and decided to book a shotgun hunt for my son and I. That turned out to be a very memorable day. I shot my first whitetail deer and my son watched on in amazement. They assisted me the the field dressing and caping it for a shoulder mount. It was a 9 point Ohio buck that the pro staff drove to me the first morning of my three day hunt. Steve and Tony have a first class operation and their hospitality is second to none.
