When you've had little or no rain where you hunt, and it's too noisy to walk through the woods with out spooking deer, if you are hunting close to field edge, take a stick and sweep a path to your stand and use gentle hen yelps or scratch as you walk, like turkeys sound when they are feeding in a big set of hardwoods
